Description
Ciprofloxacin belongs to the class of quinolones and has an antibacterial effect against Enterobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Streptococcus, Legionella, and Staphylococcus aureus. Ciprofloxacin has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and good bactericidal effect. The antibacterial activity of almost all bacteria is 2 to 4 times stronger than that of norfloxacin and enoxacin.
Indications
Ciprofloxacin is used for avian bacterial diseases and mycoplasma infections, such as chicken chronic respiratory disease, Escherichia coli, infectious rhinitis, avian Pasteurellosis, avian influenza, staphylococcal disease, and the like.
Contra indications
Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and infants should not be used.
Side effects
Bone and joint damage can cause weight-bearing cartilage lesions in young animals (puppies, puppies), leading to pain and lameness.
Central nervous system response; Occasionally, higher doses of crystallized urine.
Dosage
For oral administration:
Chicken: Twice daily 4 g per 25 - 50 L of drinking water for 3 - 5 days.
Withdrawal period
Chicken: 28 days.
