Indications
Amprolium WSP 20% is indicated for coccidiosis caused by coccidia susceptible to amprolium(Eimeria spp.) or gastrointectinal infections for which it is herapeutically or prophylactically indicated to administer amprolium in calves, goats, sheep and poultry.
Dosage and Administration
For oral administration:
Calves, sheep and goats:
Preventive: 1 gram per 50-100 kg body weight through drinking water or milk for 21 days.
Curative: 5 gram per 25-50 kg body weight through drinking water or milk for 5 days.
Poultry: 20 gram per 20-40 litre drinking water for 5-7days.
Contraindications
(1) Administration to animals with impaired liver and/or renal functions.
(2) Hypersensitivity to amprolium and/or sulfaquinoxaline.
Side Effects
At high dosages for egg laying-hens, egg production will drop and in broilers growth inhibition and polyneuritis can occur crystalluria, anaemia, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia.
Precaution
For pre-ruminant calves, lambs, and young animals only.
Do not administer to hens producing eggs for human consumption.
Withdrawal period
Meat for human consumption:
Cattle, sheep and goats 14 days.
Poultry 14 days.
Storage
Store in a dry, dark place between 2 ºC to 25 ºC.
